During February school vacation, let the kids cook

January 28, 2015 — The fields are covered in snow, but Verrill Farm in Concord is warming up February by getting kids into the kitchen. The family-owned stand will hold two cooking classes ($25 per student) during school vacation week for aspiring chefs in first through sixth grades. Past menus included savory empanadas, beef-and-rice-stuffed kale, and fun desserts like cupcakes and whoopie pies.
